Who can take part

  • You must be between 18 and 79 years old
  • You weigh at least 50 kg (110 lbs) if male, or 45 kg (99 lbs) if female, with a healthy BMI (roughly 18–32)
  • You cannot be pregnant, planning pregnancy, or nursing for 3 months after the last dose; you must use reliable contraception
  • No history of serious allergies to drugs or foods, and no known allergy to VC005
  • No active infections, recent blood donation (within 3 months), heavy smoking (more than 5 cigarettes daily), or alcohol abuse
  • No history of severe liver or kidney disease, difficulty swallowing, or recent stomach/bowel problems that affect how your body absorbs medicines
