Mouth Muscle Pressure and Upper Jaw Width Study

Maxillary Transversal Deficiency (Maxillary Constriction) and Perioral Muscle Pressures (Tongue, Lip, and Cheek)

Who can take part

  • Be between 12 and 25 years old
  • Have a normal bite pattern (Skeletal Class I)
  • Have either upper jaw narrowness (experimental group) or normal upper jaw width (control group)
  • Have all permanent teeth except wisdom teeth
  • Have healthy gums with no active gum disease
  • Never had braces, jaw surgery, or facial trauma
