Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You have one-sided (not both sides) leg pain caused by a pinched nerve in the lower back
  • An MRI scan confirms nerve compression or irritation matching your symptoms
  • Your pain is at least 3 out of 10 in intensity
  • You can safely have an MRI scan (no pacemaker, metal implants, or severe claustrophobia)
  • You have not had spine surgery before and do not have spinal tumors, infections, or cauda equina syndrome
