Collavant supplement for runner's knee discomfort

This study tests whether Collavant®, a collagen-based supplement, reduces knee pain in amateur runners aged 40–65 who experience discomfort during or after training. You'll take the supplement for 24 weeks while continuing to run and track your symptoms.

Who can take part

  • You are a male, aged 40–65, and run regularly (at least 150 minutes per week across 2+ sessions)
  • You experience knee discomfort after running, rated at least 20 mm on a pain scale, lasting at least 2 weeks
  • You do not have a diagnosis of knee osteoarthritis or prior knee surgery
  • You are willing to stop or avoid starting new joint-health supplements (glucosamine, turmeric, omega-3, etc.) for 24 weeks
  • You have a GPS-enabled device (watch or app) to track your training
  • You are not on chronic pain relievers (NSAIDs like ibuprofen, or steroids) or antibiotics, and do not follow a vegan diet
