Testing RAP-219 for Focal Seizure Control in Adults

This study tests whether a new medication called RAP-219 can help adults with focal seizures (seizures that start in one area of the brain) control their seizures better. You would take this medication alongside your current seizure drugs for about 12 weeks.

Who can take part

  • You are 18–75 years old and have a healthy weight range (BMI 18–45)
  • You have been diagnosed with focal epilepsy for at least 2 years
  • You have had a brain scan (MRI or CT) and an EEG test within the past 10 years that confirm focal epilepsy
  • You are currently taking 1–3 seizure medications as ongoing treatment (not just rescue medications)
  • You can keep daily records of your seizures using a smartphone app or online diary
  • You have not had epilepsy surgery in the past 12 months and don't plan to have surgery during the study
