  • Age 18–75 years old
  • Diagnosed with head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (excluding nasopharyngeal) and scheduled for radiation therapy after surgery
  • Good overall health and organ function (blood counts, liver, kidney, and heart function within safe ranges)
  • No open wounds, severe skin inflammation, or bleeding problems in the treatment area
  • No connective tissue disease, lupus, scleroderma, or other systemic skin conditions
  • No severe allergies to drugs, food, or vaccines
