Blood-Filtering Treatment for Severe Thermal Burns

Who can take part

  • You have a thermal burn (from flame, hot liquid, or contact) that may include smoke inhalation injury
  • Your burn severity score falls within a specific range (RFI score between 71 and 181)
  • Your doctor recommends blood filtration therapy and can start it within 10 days of your burn injury
  • You are stable enough to receive at least 6 hours of continuous Efferon LPS treatment
  • You do not have other major injuries (like broken bones, head trauma, or heart attack) or serious infections
  • Your heart and lungs can tolerate the procedure without emergency surgery needed
