Healthy gut bacteria to help adults with anorexia nervosa
Part of Mental health clinical trials.
This trial studies whether giving healthy gut bacteria (called microbiota) can help restore normal gut-brain function in adults with anorexia nervosa. It may offer a new way to support recovery when standard treatment alone hasn't been enough.

This trial tests whether taking fecal microbiome transplant (FMT) capsules can help people with anorexia nervosa. FMT uses processed stool from healthy donors to improve gut bacteria, which might support weight restoration and overall health.
This study tests whether a fecal microbiota transplant (FMT), which introduces healthy gut bacteria from a donor, can improve eating disorder symptoms and digestive issues in people with anorexia nervosa. It may help by balancing the gut microbiome, which could affect mood and appetite.
