Testing a new scoring system to predict ICU patient outcomes
Part of Digestive system clinical trials.
This study tests whether adding information about stomach and intestine function to an existing ICU scoring system helps doctors better predict which patients are at highest risk. Researchers will collect your medical data during your first 24 hours in the ICU to see if this new approach works.
Summary written for real people, not researchers, by Clin2.

This study aims to create a tool to predict survival in older adults (75+) who are admitted to the ICU from the emergency room. It may help doctors better understand individual risks and make more informed care decisions.
This trial studies how early severe illness in the ICU can be understood and tracked using health data (bioinformatics/informatics). It may help improve care decisions for people who arrive to the ICU soon after an emergency department visit.
This study looks at how your immune system and inflammation affect your recovery in the intensive care unit. Researchers want to understand why some patients do better than others.
This study is looking at whether certain blood tests can help predict the risk of death after surgery in ICU patients. If you have had surgery and are now in the ICU, your blood samples may help doctors learn more.
This trial is looking at how severe illness affects the gut. It tests if measuring certain markers in blood and urine can help doctors understand and treat gut problems in ICU patients.
This trial is studying how well a scoring system (SOFA-2) works in Turkish intensive care units (ICUs) to measure how sick patients are. It may help doctors better understand and treat people in ICUs in Türkiye.
