Gene Therapy for Bietti's Eye Disease in Second Eye

Bietti Crystalline Dystrophy

Who can take part

  • You must have already received VGR-R01 in one eye through a prior study (VGR-R01-001 or VGR-R01-101)
  • Your second eye must have vision between hand motion and 75 ETDRS letters (a measure of how much you can see)
  • You cannot have active eye infections or inflammation
  • You cannot have other significant eye diseases like macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, glaucoma, or retinal detachment
  • You cannot have had eye surgery other than cataract surgery in the study eye
  • You must be able to follow study instructions and provide informed consent
