Who can take part

  • Your child is between 3 months and 8 years old
  • Your child has single ventricle physiology (a heart condition where one side of the heart does most of the pumping)
  • Your child is scheduled for Glenn surgery, Fontan surgery, or cardiac catheterization
  • Your child does not have a tracheostomy tube (a surgical breathing tube in the neck)
  • Your child does not have an active upper respiratory infection (like a cold or sore throat)
  • Your child does not have airway abnormalities like Pierre Robin or Treacher Collins syndrome
