Blood Clotting Test Device for Children Having Heart Surgery

Who can take part

  • Child must be under 18 years old
  • Child is having heart surgery or is recovering from recent heart surgery with bleeding or clotting concerns
  • Parents or guardians must sign a consent form (and child may sign an assent form if required)
  • Child must be born at 37 weeks gestation or later (full-term or close to it)
  • Child cannot be enrolled in another study that might interfere with results
  • Child must not have other medical conditions that would make participation unsafe
