Who can take part
- You are 40 years old or older.
- You are having surgery on your hip (can be planned or urgent).
- Your surgery is expected to take no longer than 3 hours.
- You are in generally good health (classified as ASA I, II, or III).
- You can give written permission to join and can clearly communicate your pain levels.
- You have no nerve damage in your legs, no skin infection at the injection area, and no other reasons that would make a nerve block unsafe.
