Understanding Early Treatment Response in Breast Cancer

Breast Cancer Early Stage Breast Cancer (Stage 1-3)

This study collects small tissue samples from your breast cancer before, during, and after chemotherapy and immunotherapy to identify early signs of how well the treatment is working. The goal is to better predict treatment response and improve outcomes for patients with triple-negative or high-risk hormone-positive breast cancer.

Who can take part

  • Female, age 18 or older
  • Good overall health and able to perform daily activities (ECOG score 0–1)
  • Diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer OR high-risk hormone-positive breast cancer that needs chemotherapy before surgery
  • No prior chemotherapy, immunotherapy, or hormone therapy for this cancer
  • Able to have multiple breast tissue biopsies (small samples) during treatment
  • Not pregnant or breastfeeding, and not planning upfront surgery instead of treatment
