Testing heart rhythm mapping in repaired tetralogy of Fallot

This study validates a new method to locate abnormal heart rhythms using ECG (a simple heart recording) in adults who had tetralogy of Fallot surgery as children. Who can take part

  • You are at least 18 years old
  • You had surgery to repair tetralogy of Fallot (a congenital heart defect) and now have pulmonary stenosis (narrowing of the valve)
  • You already have a clinically-indicated electrophysiology (EP) study scheduled—a procedure where doctors thread a catheter into your heart to study its electrical signals
  • You do not have dextrocardia or mesocardia (abnormal positioning of the heart)
  • You do not have a mechanical aortic prosthesis (artificial aortic valve) in place
  • You are able to access the femoral artery (groin area) for the catheter procedure
