Who can take part
- You have advanced epithelial ovarian cancer (stage IIB or higher) needing surgery for the first time
- You are 18–70 years old and in generally good health (ECOG score below 3)
- Your colonoscopy shows the cancer has not invaded the bowel lining itself
- MRI imaging confirms the tumor involves the bowel surface or nearby tissue (mesentery)
- You can tolerate surgery safely (ASA score below 3)
- You have not had prior abdominal or pelvic radiation therapy
