Who can take part

  • You must be a licensed breath-hold or free diver with at least 5 years of training experience
  • You must be between 18 and 30 years old
  • You must have no heart or lung disease and be a non-smoker
  • You cannot use performance-enhancing drugs or have current chronic sports injuries
  • You must avoid intense exercise, alcohol, and caffeine for 24 hours before testing (caffeine for 2 hours)
  • You must be well-rested and comfortable with breath-hold procedures
