Safety and immune response study of VAX-A1 vaccine in healthy young adults

Group A Streptococcal Infection

This study tests a new vaccine called VAX-A1 in healthy people aged 18–40 to see if it's safe and if it helps the body build protection against Group A Streptococcus (a bacteria that can cause serious infections). You'll receive two vaccine doses and have blood tests and heart monitoring over 6 months.

Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 40 years old
  • You are in overall good health with no serious medical conditions
  • You have not had recent Group A Streptococcus infection or related complications
  • You do not have an autoimmune disease, HIV, hepatitis B or C, or a bleeding disorder
  • You can attend follow-up visits for 6 months after your second vaccine dose
  • You can use a smartphone, tablet, or computer to complete a daily diary during the study
