- You have all your permanent adult teeth (except wisdom teeth)
- Your teeth have no cavities, chips, cracks, or damage
- Your teeth have never been treated with chemical agents before
- You do not have a crossbite, scissor bite, or bite problems that could cause brackets to come loose early
- You are in good overall health with good oral hygiene
