  • You are between 18 and 65 years old and in generally good health
  • Your BMI is between 23.0 and 40.0, and you have extra weight around your middle (waist circumference ≥ 90 cm for men, ≥ 80 cm for women)
  • You haven't had recent stomach or digestive problems like constipation, diarrhea, or gastroenteritis
  • You're willing to keep your eating, exercise, and daily routines the same during the study—no major changes or plans to move
  • You haven't used antibiotics, probiotics, laxatives, NSAIDs (like ibuprofen), or weight-loss medications in the past few months
  • You're not pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding (if female)
