Who can take part
- You need parotid gland surgery scheduled (partial or full removal of the gland on one side)
- You are 18 years or older
- You have not had parotid surgery on the same side before
- You do not have cancer treatment planned or ongoing
- You are generally healthy enough for surgery (ASA score 1–3, which your doctor will assess)
- You understand the study and can consent to participate
