- Be 18 years or older (no upper age limit)
- Speak and understand Mandarin or Taiwanese fluently
- Be able to give written permission to participate
- Be able to complete speech repetition tasks and a swallowing test
- Not have a current cold, sore throat, or other acute illness affecting speech or swallowing
- Be awake, alert, and able to understand instructions
