  • Be between 18 and 80 years old
  • Have a confirmed diagnosis of Crohn's disease (if you're in the patient group) or no history of Crohn's disease (if you're in the healthy comparison group)
  • Not have taken antibiotics or probiotics in the last 4 weeks
  • Not be pregnant
  • Not have had your large bowel surgically removed
  • Be able to understand the study and provide informed consent
