Who can take part
- You must be between 19 and 75 years old.
- You must have acute or chronic gastritis confirmed by an endoscopy (a camera test of your stomach) within the past 7 days, with at least one stomach erosion (a small sore).
- You cannot have erosions in your esophagus or duodenum (the tube to your stomach or the first part of your small intestine).
- If you are able to have children, you must agree to use a reliable birth control method (like condoms or birth control pills) or abstain from sex during the study and for 2 weeks after the last dose.
- You must not have certain other stomach or intestinal conditions, such as active ulcers, severe acid reflux, or a history of stomach surgery.
- You must not have a history of blood clots, bleeding disorders, or high cholesterol (unless well controlled with medication).
