Who can take part
- You are sexually active and currently ejaculate normally (antegrade ejaculation)
- You have bothersome lower urinary tract symptoms (difficulty urinating, frequent urination, weak stream) that need surgery
- You are scheduled for or willing to undergo HoLEP surgery (a minimally invasive prostate removal procedure using a laser)
- You have never had retrograde ejaculation (where semen goes backward into the bladder instead of out)
- You have never had prostate, urethra, or bladder neck surgery before
- You do not have a urinary catheter in place and do not have neurological disease affecting urination
