This study tests a new app combined with a smartwatch and glucose monitor to predict your blood sugar patterns and help you manage Type 2 Diabetes better. You'll use your phone, watch, and existing glucose monitor to share data that an AI system learns from.

Who can take part

  • Age 18–75 and a patient at Johns Hopkins Medicine
  • Diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes (not Type 1 or other diabetes types) managed by your doctor at Johns Hopkins
  • Own an Android smartphone and a Dexcom G7 or FreeStyle Libre 3 glucose monitor with at least 2 weeks of current use
  • Willing to wear a Samsung Galaxy Watch at least 12 hours daily and download multiple apps (Welldoc, Samsung Health, Google Health Connect)
  • Able to read and understand English, with no hearing or vision problems
  • Agree to photograph all meals and use your glucose monitor at least 80% of the time during the study
