GERD

Part of Digestive system clinical trials.

This trial tests whether speech and language therapy can help reduce bloating, belching, and other air-related symptoms in people with acid reflux (GERD). Researchers will measure how much the therapy improves these symptoms before and after treatment.

Heat treatment for chronic acid reflux (AREA study)

This trial tests a new way to treat GERD (chronic acid reflux) using a tiny camera and a device that delivers a gentle heat treatment (argon plasma coagulation) to the area where the stomach meets the esophagus. It's compared to a 'sham' procedure (you won't know which you get) to see if it stops acid from backing up better than medicine alone.

Stretta procedure versus staying on acid pills for reflux

This trial compares the Stretta procedure to standard “conservative” treatment for people with ongoing GERD symptoms despite taking acid pills (PPIs). It aims to see whether Stretta can better control reflux and possibly help people stop or reduce PPIs safely.
