  • You are scheduled for head and neck reconstruction surgery using a free flap (tissue transplanted from another part of your body)
  • Your surgery is for cancer treatment, injury repair, or a benign (non-cancerous) condition

  • You do not have a severe liver or kidney disease
  • You are not pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant soon
