Tracking Immune Changes After B-Cell Treatment for Vasculitis
Part of Immune system & allergy clinical trials.
This study follows patients with ANCA-associated vasculitis (a rare autoimmune disease affecting blood vessels) who receive rituximab, a medication that depletes certain immune cells. Researchers want to understand how the immune system recovers over time and whether this helps predict disease flares or relapses.
Summary written for real people, not researchers, by Clin2.
Who can take part
- You are 18 years old or older
- You have ANCA-associated vasculitis confirmed by blood tests (anti-PR3 or anti-MPO positive) and meet Chapel-Hill diagnostic criteria
- You are about to start or are starting rituximab maintenance therapy (500 mg infusions every 6 months)
- You are enrolled in the French social security system (healthcare coverage)
- Your kidneys are still functioning (not at end-stage renal disease)
- You do not have active cancer (other than skin cancer)

This study looks for blood test markers that may help diagnose vasculitis and predict how it may go. You may be offered additional blood sampling if you have certain active vasculitis conditions.
This study collects and stores health information and possibly samples from people diagnosed with ANCA-associated vasculitis to help researchers learn more about the disease. It may help future studies, but it is mainly focused on collection rather than testing a new treatment.
This observational study follows adults with vasculitis (inflammation of blood vessels) during an active flare or relapse. It aims to better understand how the disease changes over time and may help researchers plan future treatments.
This trial compares two strategies for people with granulomatosis with polyangiitis (GPA) or microscopic polyangiitis (MPA) who have stable disease but whose ANCA blood test has become positive again. The goal is to see whether waiting and monitoring closely works as well as giving a pre-emptive dose of rituximab to prevent a flare.
This trial studies whether extending low-dose prednisone alongside rituximab (given as infusions at set times) helps keep microscopic polyangiitis (MPA) or granulomatosis with polyangiitis (GPA) in remission. If you respond to initial treatment, the goal is to reduce the chance of relapse and maintain disease control.
This study looks at the levels of rituximab (a medicine that calms the immune system) and your body's response to it in people with certain autoimmune diseases. It may help doctors understand how to better adjust treatment.
