- You have an ASA health classification of I, II, or III (your doctor can tell you yours)

- You do not have severe heart disease or serious lung disease requiring regular oxygen therapy
- You do not have an active infection in your mouth, nose, or throat, and no fever
- You are not pregnant, breastfeeding, or allergic to sedative drugs like propofol
