  • You are between 18 and 84 years old
  • You are scheduled to have an ERCP procedure (endoscopy of your bile ducts)
  • You are in generally good to fair health (ASA status I–III, meaning no serious organ problems or only well-controlled conditions)
  • You have not had a recent upper respiratory infection (cold or sinus infection)
  • You do not have a history of lung cancer, COPD, or asthma
  • Your BMI is 35 or lower (weight-to-height ratio; ask your doctor if unsure)
