Who can take part
- You need ventral hernia repair surgery (a procedure to repair a bulge in the abdominal wall)
- You must be between 18 and 85 years old
- You must be able to understand and watch educational videos in English
- You cannot have an opioid use disorder diagnosis
- You cannot currently take opioid pain medications regularly or have a standing opioid prescription
- You cannot have an infected mesh or a fistula (abnormal opening) requiring surgery at the same time as your hernia repair
