Who can take part
- Age 18–65 and in generally good health
- Have a back lower molar tooth with a dead nerve, no current pain, and a visible lesion on X-ray
- Not taken pain or anti-inflammatory medication in the last 12 hours
- No allergy to NSAIDs (like ibuprofen) or numbing medication
- Not pregnant, not taking opioid painkillers, and no serious gum disease
- No active infection signs or history of stomach/digestive problems
