Who can take part
- Your child is between 6 and 12 years old
- Your child has intermittent exotropia (an eye that turns outward at distance, or turns in/straightens at close range)
- Your child is nearsighted, with a prescription between -6.0 and -0.5 diopters in both eyes
- Your child has clear vision (20/158 or better on an eye chart) and no lazy eye (amblyopia)
- Your child's eyes are healthy with no infections, inflammation, or other eye diseases
- Your family can commit to 1 year of follow-up visits and wear the assigned glasses full-time
