Who can take part
- Your hemoglobin A1c (average blood sugar over 3 months) must be below 6.5%.
- Your body mass index (BMI) must be between 25 and 45.
- Your weight must have stayed within 5% for the past 3 months.
- You must not have type 1 or type 2 diabetes, or a history of certain diabetes-related emergencies.
- You cannot have had obesity surgery (except liposuction, cryolipolysis, or abdominoplasty more than a year ago).
- If you are able to become pregnant, you must not be pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant during the study.
