Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 75 years old
- You are scheduled for elective shoulder surgery using a camera (arthroscopy) under general anesthesia
- You do not take blood thinners or have bleeding problems
- You have no allergies to numbing medicines (local anesthetics)
- You do not have serious health issues like liver failure, kidney failure, uncontrolled diabetes, or chronic lung disease
- You are not pregnant, breastfeeding, or using opioids for chronic pain
