Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 65 years old.
- You are having elective (planned) upper extremity hand surgery.
- You are otherwise healthy (ASA I classification).
- You do not have bleeding disorders or take blood thinners.
- You are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
- You weigh at least 40 kg (about 88 pounds) and your BMI is under 30.
- You have no history of allergies to local anesthetics or serious heart problems.
- You do not take strong pain medicines (opioids) regularly.
