  • You have been diagnosed with beta thalassemia major
  • You are of any age or gender
  • You are not pregnant and agree to avoid pregnancy during the study and for 6 months after stopping the drug (if applicable)
  • You do not have other hemoglobin disorders besides beta thalassemia
  • You do not have a history of neurological problems
  • You can commit to regular follow-up visits
