Who can take part
- You are a parent or caregiver, at least 18 years old, living in Peel Region (Mississauga, Brampton, or Caledon) in Ontario.
- You identify as South Asian or Black, African, or Caribbean.
- You have a youth aged 14 to 24 living with you who agrees to take part.
- You do not have diabetes or prediabetes that requires treatment.
- You are willing to have a finger-prick blood test that shows your blood sugar is 6.5% or higher on the A1c test.
- Both you and the youth can read, write, and speak English well enough to take part in the program.
