Who can take part

  • Age from newborn to under 18 years old.
  • Must have an arterial line (a tube in an artery) as part of their regular care.
  • Arm or thigh must be the right size for a blood pressure cuff (arm: 3–33 cm around, thigh: 38–50 cm around).
  • Must have a guardian or legal representative who can give permission (if under 15), or be able to give their own consent (if 15–17).
  • Must not have certain health problems like severe infections, unstable blood pressure, or pregnancy (for teens).
