This study tests how accurately a non-invasive blood pressure device measures your pressure compared to a direct measurement from an arterial line (a thin tube in an artery that directly measures pressure). You'll need to be in a hospital or intensive care setting where you already have an arterial line as part of your standard care.

Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You have an upper arm or thigh that fits the device's cuff (upper arm: 17–40 cm around; thigh: 38–50 cm around)
  • You currently have an arterial line placed (a thin tube in an artery for direct blood pressure measurement)
  • You can give written informed consent and stay in the unit for the study procedure
  • You do not have circulatory problems causing a significant difference in blood pressure between your arms
  • You are stable enough (not in shock or severe distress) to safely participate, and have no skin injuries, deformities, or IV lines that would prevent proper cuff placement
