Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 65 years old
  • Your weight and height give a BMI between 18 and 30
  • You are scheduled for non-heart or non-brain surgery lasting 1 to 2 hours
  • Your surgery starts between 8-11 AM or 2-5 PM
  • You do not have severe liver or kidney problems
  • You do not have serious heart, lung, or nerve disease
  • You do not regularly take strong sleep or anxiety medications
  • You are not allergic to ciprofol or similar drugs
  • You do not do shift work or have traveled across time zones in the last 3 months
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding
