- You have been diagnosed with diarrhea-predominant IBS for at least 6 months and meet specific symptom criteria (Rome IV) in the last 3 months.
- Your symptoms fit a traditional Chinese medicine pattern called 'cold-dampness disturbing spleen' (e.g., cold, bloating, loose stools).
- You are between 18 and 65 years old.
- You have not taken any IBS medications, antibiotics, steroids, probiotics, or herbal preparations for at least 1 week before starting the trial.
- You do not have serious health conditions (heart, liver, kidney disease, diabetes, cancer, mental illness) or other digestive diseases.
- You are not pregnant or breastfeeding, and have not had abdominal or anorectal surgery.
