Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You are already scheduled for nose or sinus surgery.
  • A small piece of tissue can be taken during your surgery without extra risk.
  • You can and will sign a consent form to participate.
  • You do not have a history of cancer in the nose or sinuses, or radiation or chemotherapy to that area.
  • You have not used steroid medications, immune-suppressing drugs, or biologic treatments in the 4 weeks before surgery.
