Who can take part

  • You have had neck pain for at least 3 months and a doctor has said it's 'chronic non-specific neck pain' (meaning no clear cause like a disc problem).
  • You are between 18 and 45 years old.
  • Your neck pain bothers you enough to affect daily activities (like work or sleep) and you rate it at least a 3 out of 10 on a pain scale.
  • You have small, tender knots (called trigger points) in the muscles around your neck and shoulders.
  • You do NOT have any serious neck condition (like a pinched nerve), other diseases (like rheumatoid arthritis or cancer), or a history of neck/shoulder surgery or injury.
