Who can take part
- You must be a female aged 10 to 19, and your periods started at least 6 months ago.
- You have had irregular, long, or heavy periods in the last 3 months, like cycles shorter than 21 days or longer than 45 days, periods lasting more than 7 days, or a bleeding score over 100.
- Your guardian must sign a consent form, and you must agree to join the study.
- You need to have certain test results available, like a blood count, iron level, hormone tests, and a pelvic ultrasound.
- You cannot have a blood clotting disorder or take blood-thinning medication.
- You cannot have untreated thyroid or other hormone problems that cause abnormal bleeding, or severe kidney or liver issues.
