Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 80 years old
- You have a diagnosis of liver cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma or intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma) or liver metastases (such as from colorectal cancer)
- You are scheduled to have surgery to remove part of your liver (hepatectomy) with the goal of curing the disease
- Your liver function is Child-Pugh class A or B, meaning your liver is working well enough for surgery
- You can safely have an MRI scan (no implants that are not MRI-safe, no severe claustrophobia)
- You are willing to sign a consent form and follow the study procedures
