Numbing nerves before thyroid surgery to reduce stress

ThyroidectomyCervical Plexus BlockSurgical Stress Response

Part of Hormones & metabolism, Pain clinical trials.

This trial tests whether a numbing injection in the neck (called a cervical plexus block) before total thyroidectomy lowers the body's stress response, measured with various biomarkers. It might help you recover better after surgery.

Nerve blocks for thyroid surgery to reduce stress response

This study tests whether a special numbing technique (nerve block) given during thyroid removal surgery can reduce your body's stress response and help you recover better. Researchers will measure how well this approach works compared to standard care.

Block for stress during thyroid surgery

This trial tests whether a nerve block given in the neck before total thyroidectomy (surgery to remove the thyroid gland) reduces the body's stress response. It uses saliva tests to measure that response.

Comparing anesthesia methods for thyroid surgery

This study compares two different anesthesia techniques used during planned thyroid removal surgery. Researchers want to see how each method affects your body's inflammatory response and how your body uses amino acids during recovery.

Lower dose neck block for thyroid surgery

This study compares two doses of a numbing medicine injected near the nerves in your neck before thyroid surgery. The goal is to see if a lower dose provides enough pain relief with fewer side effects, such as affecting your breathing.

Pain Relief and Recovery After Thyroid Removal Surgery

This study compares different methods for managing pain after thyroid removal surgery to see which helps patients recover better and feel less pain. If you're having your entire thyroid removed, this trial could help doctors understand the best way to keep you comfortable afterward.
