Comparing two rinsing solutions for deep cavities with tooth pain

Symptomatic Irreversible Pulpitis (SIP)Extremely Deep Caries

This study tests whether rinsing the inside of a painful tooth with a special solution (calcium hypochlorite or sodium hypochlorite) after removing the damaged nerve tissue helps preserve the tooth and reduce pain. Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 40 years old.
  • You have a permanent back tooth (molar) with a very deep cavity that reaches close to the nerve, causing severe pain.
  • The tooth and gums are healthy, with no deep gum pockets or looseness.
  • You are in good overall health (classified as ASA I or II).
  • You are not pregnant.
