Who can take part

  • You are 19 years old or older.
  • You have been diagnosed or your doctor strongly suspects you have upper urinary tract cancer based on scans or a biopsy.
  • The depth of the cancer is hard to determine with current imaging, and surgery is being considered.
  • Your doctor has already chosen to remove the affected kidney and ureter, which allows comparison of the ultrasound findings with the removed tissue.
  • Your urinary tract is shaped in a way that allows the small ultrasound probe to reach the cancer safely.
  • You are willing to give written consent to join the study.
